Lapso

Lapso is a minimalist seating concept designed to support a natural resting posture — an invitation to pause and recharge. Its enveloping form subtly signals “do not disturb,” offering a protected moment of personal space within shared environments.

The integrated hood enhances acoustic comfort through softly curved upholstered panels, while its verticality introduces a new typology of comfort — ideal for short breaks in bustling spaces.

Lapso is the edited edition of the project we originally designed with Antoine Lesur in 2016 for the Émile Hermès Prize, where it was awarded First Prize, preserving the conceptual strength of the original while refining its form and function.
